HOD Program Manager
Riley Smith (they/them), a white, disabled, neurodivergent, queer activist, is Justice For Housing, Inc.’s Hands On Defense Program Manager. In addition to their role at Justice For Housing, they are an MPH student at Boston University and a drop-in coordinator at Black and Pink, MA. Their background includes worker-ownership at a local coop, sex education, political organizing, environmental activism, and direct service advocacy with various at-risk populations, including domestic violence survivors, homeless youth, people living with HIV, people experiencing housing instability, people who use substances, sex workers, and disabled and neurodivergent individuals. They envision and fight for a world without prisons and a world that prioritizes people over profits. When they are not working or at school, they can be found at drag shows or at home making art or coffee and spending time with their spouse, their cat, and their two dogs.
