Our abolitionist dream is to break the isolation of daughters with incarcerated and formerly incarcerated parents to realize transformative social change, heal, and reclaim our power in solidarity with all women and girls most impacted by incarceration.

Bio

Ayana Aubourg is Co-Founder of Sisters Unchained, an organization dedicated to the collective leadership, healing, and creative expression of young women affected by parental incarceration in Boston. Ayana is also a 2019 Reimagining Communities fellow for the National Council of Incarcerated and Formerly Incarcerated Women and Girls, where she conducted and supervised participatory research with women and families most affected by the criminal legal system. She is deeply committed to, and guided by, a community of daughters with incarcerated and formerly incarcerated parents in Boston and co-organizes healing spaces for families with incarcerated loved ones while supporting their advocacy.
