The Housing Law Clinic represents tenants who are facing evictions their work consists of litigation in the Boston Housing Court, defending evictions and prosecuting counterclaims with the goal of improving housing conditions, enforcing consumer rights, supporting tenant organizing efforts, and preventing homelessness.
The Tenant Advocacy Project (TAP) is a Student Practice Organization at Harvard Law School that provides zealous advocacy for current and prospective public housing tenants and mobile voucher holders in the greater Boston area. Our advocacy is guided by the experiences, needs, and aspirations of tenants, and we are committed to amplifying the work of Boston area community organizations.
Louis D Brown Peace Institute
Community Re-Entry Preparation Services. Helps prepare incarcerated individuals to return to their communities. The program connects the family with resources to support everyone through the healing process and work with re-entry partners to help them succeed
J4H serves on the advisory board to change policies and end the practice of solitary confinement in correction facilities in Massachusetts.
The Massachusetts Bail Fund pays up to $5,000 bail so that low-income people can stay free while they work towards resolving their case, allowing individuals, families, and communities to stay productive, together, and stable. J4H & MBF have launched a piolet program to protect, our incarcerated men and women returning to the community from COVID-19 as well as provide vaccine & testing information.
Under the leadership of the for Incarcerated and Formerly Incarcerated Women and Girls, Justice 4 Housing will provide permanent solutions to end homelessness for formerly incarcerated women. Our vision is to end incarceration of women and girls.

Both WSHC and J4H understand the impact incarceration, violence, housing insecurity, food insecurity, and stress has on women of color which is often added to the constellation of factors leading to recidivism, relapse, and homelessness.
