Justice 4 Housing, Prophetic Resistance Boston and The Protected Class Network are calling on individuals, organizations, and advocates to sign on in support of making Justice-Impacted people a protected class in the City of Boston.
Too often, people returning home from incarceration face ongoing discrimination that limits access to housing, employment, education, and other basic rights. It’s time for Boston to take bold action to protect our communities.
As organizations committed to racial and economic justice, we urge the City of Boston to pass legislation that formally recognizes justice-impacted individuals as a protected class.
