Before Asiala Rivera built a freight brokerage business and launched a nonprofit focused on workforce development, she watched her father rebuild his life after incarceration.

Now, the Springfield entrepreneur is trying to help others do the same. Rivera is partnering with Justice 4 Housing to launch a workforce and housing initiative that will be unveiled this week. Its goal is to connect formerly incarcerated people and other job seekers with careers in trucking, trades and real estate while providing support services aimed at long-term success.
