After facing housing instability, Daniel Valdes’s life changed when he secured stable housing through SHARP. Just one month after being housed, he was granted temporary custody of his son—a pivotal step toward rebuilding their family. Through perseverance and support, Daniel ultimately achieved full custody, a milestone that brought immense joy and stability.

Having his son with him full-time, Daniel is grateful to see him thriving in high school. With a secure home, Daniel works full-time as a Residential Counselor at North Suffolk Mental Health Association, supporting his family and giving back to the community.
